High Pressure & Large Flow Rate

Pipe end machining requires tremendous thrust, especially for large-diameter thick-wall pipes. Accordingly, the HPU is designed as a high-pressure system with operating pressure normally above 21 MPa or even higher. To shorten cycle time via rapid idle stroke movement, the system is configured for high flow output.

Dual high-low pressure pump sets or variable displacement pump systems are widely adopted: combined pump delivery or large pump displacement for high-flow low-pressure rapid advance/retract; single-pump supply or small pump displacement for low-flow high-pressure feed stroke to realize energy conservation.

Outstanding Control Accuracy

High-end modern HPUs for pipe end forming machines commonly adopt electro-hydraulic proportional control or even servo control technology. Proportional or servo valves receive electric signals from PLC to deliver continuous and precise proportional regulation on pressure and flow.

It ensures smooth machining without mechanical impact and greatly improves dimensional tolerance and surface finish of finished pipe ends.


Efficient Cooling & Filtration

High working pressure and rated power generate substantial heat. The HPU is equipped with forced air-cooled or water-cooled oil coolers to maintain optimal oil temperature ranging from 40°C to 60°C, stabilizing oil viscosity and overall system efficiency.

The system achieves ultra-fine filtration up to NAS Class 7~9 or superior rating. Micrograde high-pressure inline filters effectively remove contaminants to protect precision hydraulic components (particularly proportional and servo valves) from abrasive wear and extend service life.


Intelligent & Compact Integrated Layout

Modern HPUs are closely integrated with PLC and HMI. Operators monitor real-time data including system pressure, oil temperature, oil level and fault alerts via touchscreen, and conveniently adjust process parameters like pressure and moving speed.

Highly integrated manifold valve blocks minimize pipe connections, reduce leakage points, vibration and operating noise while boosting equipment reliability.


Energy Saving & Eco-friendly Design

Variable displacement pumps and accumulators are increasingly deployed for energy optimization. Variable pumps output flow matching actual load demand and eliminate throttling power loss inherent in fixed-displacement pump plus relief valve configurations. Accumulators deliver instantaneous high flow to assist pump operation, enabling selection of smaller-rated motors and pumps for reduced power consumption.
